LETS REWIND FOR A SEC SO YOU CAN SEE WHERE THIS ALL STARTED…
I’m not your average nutrition coach…
At Andrea Lindsay Nutrition, my mission is to empower you with freedom, clarity, and confidence in your nutrition choices so you can learn as you eat, find your healthy weight, and lose fat for the long haul—without subsisting on bland chicken or sad salads, having to be perfect, or figure it out on your own.
Through evidence-based nutrition, mindset, and behavior change coaching, I simplify complex nutrition and behavior change concepts, and offer practical and empathetic guidance that helps you build sustainable habits and a healthier relationship with food and your body. By combining the science of nutrition with behavior change coaching,
I support you in making changes that actually last.
Getting a little bit vulnerable with my story…
2005-2009
At the age of 14, I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis—an autoimmune condition that turned my life upside down. As an active teen with a busy life ahead, I tried all sorts of restrictive diets and remedies hoping to feel better quick. But instead of relief, I was left drained, undernourished, and honestly… missing good food.
I’ve always loved science, so after graduating from high school, I studied Biology in college, thinking I’d become a professor, dentist, or healthcare provider. But everything changed during my senior year when on December 1st, 2012, I met a dietitian at a local health fair. I didn’t talk to them that day, I simply observed them do their job and I was hooked. That quick health fair encounter shifted everything. I realized nutrition wasn’t about judgment or cutting out food groups—it was about empowerment, education, and feeling healthy again.
2009-2013
<-- this is how far I could stretch my arms at the peak of my sickness
the day that changed my future career. Little did I know that I would recover my health after applying balanced nutrition to my lifestyle -->
<-- graduated with my B.S. in Biology with a clear idea of what I wanted to do next: become a dietitian
2013-2016
That experience in December 2012 changed my future career route to the point that I ended up pursuing a Master’s in Public Health Nutrition & Dietetics. It was in grad school that I finally learned how to really use evidence-based nutrition and behavior changes (thank you school of Public Health!) to support real health and lifestyle changes—including my own. After graduating in 2015, and passing my board in 2016, I became a Registered Dietitian.
2016 - 2024
Since then, I’ve worked in a variety of clinical and nutrition coaching settings with people from all walks of life.
One thing I’ve seen again and again is the mental toll that diet culture and wellness takes on people. So many of my clients have come in thinking they had to follow rigid rules or cut out entire food groups to see results or to “be better”—only to find that those approaches left them burnt out, frustrated, not enjoying eating, and stuck. I’ve also worked with people who were told they just needed “more discipline or self-control”—as if that was the one thing standing between them and better health. Many of them came to me feeling hopeless, convinced they couldn’t make lasting changes. I’ve also worked with clients who knew what they were “supposed” to do but still weren’t doing it. They realized that what they really needed was deeper understanding, reframing their identities, tools that helped them make decisions they felt proud of, and someone to walk alongside them.
2024 - present
After nearly a decade of helping hundreds of individuals navigate their nutrition, I noticed more and more that knowing what to do wasn’t the biggest struggle— people were coming to me asking for help with the how. How to start. How to stay consistent. How to not give up and continue following through. How to make health and nutrition decisions for life.
That’s what led me to get certified in mindset and behavior change coaching, and, with the incredible support of my husband, create Andrea Lindsay Nutrition LLC.
Now I offer virtual nutrition coaching, helping clients who are tired of hopping from diet to diet, program to program, “good on the week, off on the weekends”, create lasting nutrition and lifestyle changes they actually enjoy (no more bland veggies, please!).
Whether you’re looking to learn about nutrition, develop healthy habits, heal your relationship with food, get to your healthy weight, or break free from the cycle of yo-yo dieting, I’m here to help you do it without guilt, or “just-do-it” mentality, or the pressure to be perfect.
What sets me apart as a dietitian and nutrition coach is that my approach focuses on finding out your personal values around food and then create a clear, doable plan to bridge the gap between how you’re eating now and the nutrition and health goals you want to achieve.
What really drives me?
I love educating others and supporting them in gaining clarity about their nutrition so they can implement it in a way they enjoy because behavior change science says, that’s one of the ways to lasting change.
If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by all the “nutrition rules” out there, or felt unsure of how to eat in a way that works for you to keep your healthy weight, I totally get it. And you don’t have to figure it out alone or keep going in circles…
